Traveling is in my blood. As a young girl I trekked in the deep jungles of Southeast Asia, journeyed throughout Central America and snorkeled in the Great Barrier Reef all before the age of ten.
Two years before graduating college from the University of Colorado where I played soccer on the Division I soccer team, I started having natural cravings to get out and see the world. I made my way to Madrid in 2010 at the age of 20 and spent the summer living with a family as an Au Pair. The excitement and adventure won me over.
I started Heels to Hiking Boots in December of 2012 as a tumblr blog, which you can view here, Heels to Hiking Boots- Tumblr and decided to build my own site in early 2014. In the past three years alone I have traveled to over thirty countries and five continents. Heels to Hiking Boots is me in a nutshell. I can throw on my best heels for a fun night out and then wake up the next morning and lace up my muddy hiking boots for a day of exploration. You can follow my travels, latest stories, advice, and travel guides here at Heels to Hiking Boots !
