I had heard of Kelebek Special Cave Hotel from some friends who had stayed there many times in the past. We booked it right away after their strong recommendation. Little did I know then, that we would be staying at what I believe to not only be the greatest, but also the best-valued luxury cave hotel in Cappadocia.

Everything from the service to the obnoxiously enormous free breakfast buffet is executed to perfection.
Each room is decorated with different detail so you get a unique experience every stay.
The hotel comes equipped with an outdoor swimming pool, a great dining area overlooking the valley and also it’s own Hamam Spa.

Kelebek Special Cave Hotel is located in one of the best and most convenient towns in Cappadocia, Goreme. If you want to venture into town for some rug shopping, or go on a hike around Love Valley or even take a trip to the Open Air Museum, it’s all only minutes away. Also, most of the famous hot air balloon rides take off near Goreme, making Kelebek the ideal location to see balloons in the early morning or take one yourself.

From start to finish the experience is one for the books. When you arrive you are personally greeted with excitement and enthusiasm from the hotel’s manager. His customer service skills are impressive as he demonstrated to be extremely helpful our entire trip. He explained that he started working at Kelebek as the dishwasher many years ago. Now he pretty much runs the whole show. He went over everything with us making sure there wasn’t anything we missed. From our rooms and the layout of the hotel, to all the services the hotel offered, he made sure we were in the loop. The second day we explained we couldn’t afford the 65 Euro/person price for the tours they promoted through the hotel so he helped arrange a taxi to take us around all the sites in Cappadocia at a very reasonable price.

I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone coming to Cappadocia.

Pros:
-Large luxurious rooms with spacious modern bathrooms
-Free breakfast buffet
-Good Wifi
-Exceptional customer service
-Close proximity to town (walking distance)
-Good location to see all other areas of Cappadocia
-Good value: Median priced rooms go for 70 Euros.
Cons:
Don’t book the “Chimney Rooms.” They’re listed at the bottom of the website to help guests steer clear of booking them, however we booked one because the hotel was full and they were all that were left. Luckily, we could change because of a cancellation. These rooms are historic and have actual frescos on the ceilings but they are very small and have no bathrooms. Even with the small room and no bathroom the price is the same as the standard hotel rooms.
